WHY LORO CRISPS?
Loro Crisps began with two Columbian women on a mission to share a cherished taste from home: plantain crisps. Natalia and Daniela, both raised amidst Columbia’s vibrant culture, crossed paths at the University of Sheffield Enterprise Zone. Natalia was already an entrepreneur with her first venture, Pura Panela, bringing unrefined Columbian sugar to Europe. Daniela, fresh from completing her Master’s in Management and Entrepreneurship, shared Natalia’s passion for Colombian flavours and was eager to bring the crunchy, tropical snack of their childhoods to the world.
TOGETHER AT LORO CRISPS
From their friendship and shared ambition grew Loro Crisps – a company that embodies their Colombian heritage, love for natural ingredients, and desire to connect cultures. They believe that a simple snack can carry the warmth of home, offering everyone a taste of Colombia’s rich flavours. Today, Loro Crisps isn’t just a snack; it’s a story of passion, dedication, and the joy of bringing a piece of Colombia to the world, one crisp at a time.
ABOUT DANIELA
Daniela grew up in Cali, a lively city known for its energy, salsa music, and warmth. Her journey to the UK started in 2014, where she pursued an LLB in Law and Criminology before completing a Master’s degree in Management and Entrepreneurship. Outside of Loro Crisps, Daniela uses her voice to advocate for mental health awareness on her personal blog and encourages other women to step boldly into the business world. When she isn’t playing golf or guitar, Daniela enjoys her favourite Loro Crisps flavour, Urabá Sunshine – a snack that reminds her of home.
ABOUT NATALIA
Natalia’s love for natural Colombian ingredients led her Sheffield in 2010 to study English and International Criminology. Driven by nostalgia for Colombian panela (unrefined sugar), she created Pura Panela to share this sweet taste of Colombia. Her business turned into a journey of introducing people to Colombian culture and flavours. Natalia is passionate about her roots, and her love for music, culture, and Colombian products inspires everything she does. Her go-to Loro Crisps flavour is Quimbaya Limon, capturing the zest and vibrancy of her homeland.
